Salt Development: Village Lofts & Salt Lake Crossing

Logo & Brand Development

One of the leading commercial development companies in Salt Lake City, SALT Development builds incredibly thoughtful and high-end apartment complexes with a deep attention to detail. When they brought our team on to create logo and brand concepts for two new properties, we pulled out all the stops to ensure that our quality of work matched their vision.

It was crucial to consider how details such as the logo mark could be interwoven throughout the interior design and how the brand could inform the overall tone of each property. I contributed a logo and brand concept for each property, Salt Lake Crossing and Village Lofts. Each property is completely unique and has its own identity and audience in the greater Salt Lake region.

Village Lofts

Village Lofts is ultra luxe. Intended to feel like a warm winter chalet, I conceptualized this brand to feel like you’re on resort, not renting an apartment. Perks include mountain access, a rooftop pool and lounge, expansive glass windows and rich interior design. It was my mission to convey comfort and class, accomplished by the use of rich color, subtle texture and minimal, yet personal, design elements.

Salt Lake Crossing

Salt Lake Crossing is not your traditional apartment community. It’s a high-end, yet minimal co-working and living space. In a time where working from home reigns supreme, SALT Development Company is hearing these needs and building accordingly. In developing my brand concept and logo I considered that SLC is essentially a disruptor brand, offering something new to the market, so the energy had to be loud and abrupt, leaving an impression on those who fit into this kind of lifestyle. I drew inspiration from punk and dystopian design and created a brand identity that breaks tradition and demands attention.
